Google's Android platform has enjoyed massive growth over the last three years, here's all the numbers from today's Google I/O 2011 event Published on May 10, 2011

Google's I/O 2011 event is underway.

We've just sat through the press conference in which Google was keen to remind us off just how much its – sorry, we've – acheived over the last three years.

In terms of growth, we're talking rapid expansion on all fronts with regards to Android – that's activations, apps and application downloads.

It's all pretty crazy, especially when you consider that it's only taken three years to get this far.

Here's the numbers in detail:

100,000,000 handset activations in 2011There's now 200,000 apps on the Android MarketThere are over 310 Android handsets now available in 112 countriesThe Android Market has now had 4.5 billion app downloads. 400,000 Android handsets are activated everydayThis has all happened in just three years – Scary.
