As nice as a stylus is for certain touchscreen tasks, it won't be the cheapest option for HTC Flyer users Published on May 6, 2011
Those of you looking forward to the HTC Flyer tablet may be sad to know the stylus is going to be quite pricey.
In fact, it will be a whopping $80 - about £60-odd pounds if our mental currency converter is working. Hardly a pocket money purchase, is it?
Considering the benefits a stylus can bring to a tablet, like being able to actually write notes in your own handwriting on things like PowerPoint presentations, it is a benefit we think HTC should make cheap to entice customers, especially considering it costs £599.99 - more than an iPad 2.
In its defence, it will feature an impressive 1.5Ghz processor
If companies like Wacom can make perfectly good stylus pens and graphics tablets for a lot less than $80, surely HTC can do the same?
The HTC Flyer is set to be released in "early May". As that is now, it has either been delayed or it will be arriving very, very soon.
